Description
Step into the rich history of Greenwich Village with a tour that spans decades of cultural revolutions.
You’ll start at Hess Triangle, the city’s tiniest piece of private land, and wind your way through a neighborhood that gave birth to movements in folk music, LGBTQ+ rights, and off-Broadway theater.
Trace the footsteps of legendary musicians like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, and Woody Guthrie at Electric Lady Studios and Café Wha?.
Feel the energy of the Stonewall Rebellion at the Stonewall Inn and take in tales of activism at Julius Bar, where a pivotal sip-in took place years before the riots.
From hidden alleys where Marlon Brando studied to MacDougal Street's folk music scene, this tour offers an insider’s view of a Village few get to truly know.
Along the way, actors bring the neighborhood’s colorful history to life with music and sound effects, ensuring you don’t just see the Village—you experience it.

The stories about Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie got me all weepy, the Stonewall stop was riveting, the one about Barbra Streisand was fascinating, the Jim Hendrix studio was tragic, the Edgar Allen poe stop was super clever and the OddFather was hilarious. So many flavors in one tour!

I’ve tried a lot of audio tours and this one is on a whole other level. Most are just a single voice droning facts. This has real dramatic storytelling with sound effects. I actually felt like I was there on the night of the Stonewall Rebellion, opening the door and being hit with the sound of throbbing disco. When the riot started and stuff was being thrown, I could hear it landing all around me. Amazing experience. Great writing.

Thoroughly recommend. Really enjoyed the tour. Very well done. Packed with information and took me round streets I’d never have thought to walk round. An audio and visual treat. Thank you.
